Come celebrate with members of the Society of the Descendants of Peter Francisco at the 227^th anniversary of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse.  This battle is known as the turning point in the Revolution, and is where Peter became known for his bravery and tremendous strength. 

The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park has a week-long celebration planned to commemorate this   historic   battle.  Activities   include reenactments, lectures, guided and driving tours, period dancers, arms demonstrations and more.

The Society will meet the weekend of March 14-16 in Greensboro, NC to participate in this celebration and to honor Peter Francisco with our own planned activities.  The Park Service has also granted us permission to hold a wreath-laying ceremony and dramatic interpretation at Francisco Monument on Sunday, March 16.
